Can I fit 37s?

Like it says, I need to know if I can fit 37s. I have a 2003 f150 xlt 5.4 screw cab, and it is 2wd. I plan on putting the 6" procomp lift on it. I know I can clear 35s with this lift, but if I add a 3" body lift and 1.5" daystar spacers will I be able to clear 37s? The tires I want are 37x13.5x17

yes. you can. You will need to trim a little

Yup with minor trimming and probably a 9" wheel with 4.5" backspacing.

not trying to be rude or anything but why put 37s on a 2wd?

Not trying to be rude or anything, but why not?

If it makes him happy that's all that matters, its his truck. Some people like the look of a lifted truck but don't have the need for 4x4, can't afford it, etc.

not trying to be rude or anything but, who's truck is it? Im putting 38s on mine.....


And that is the same as asking why drop a 4x4? Its because what that driver likes and the canvas he has available to work with.

Thanks. And yes, the wheel is 17x9 with 4.5" back spacing. I know I will need to trim the lower front valance. But is there any other trimming necessary? Also, should I install the 4.56 or 4.88 gears? Which ones are better. I do about 50/50 highway and city driving. I know the gas mileage will drop, but which gears would be better for performance. Also, any performance upgrades that would be good for a lifted screw on 37s? So far, all I've done to the truck since I got it three months ago is change all the spark plugs, coil packs, and coil pack boot. And I put a k&n drop in filter and did the gots mod. Also, put a cherry bomb extreme 3" single inlet and 2.5" dual outlet muffler. I know I want the e-fans and a edge evo cts programmer. But I was told to add bbk under drive pullies, bbk fuel rails, bbk throttle body, 42 lbs injectors, 4.56 gears, k&n intake, cams, true dual exhaust, and a air raid t/b spacer. Are those any good? ANY performance mods will be a big help. Thanks!

One more thing. I know this doesn't pertain to the performance or lift ideas, but has any one here ever put the expedition front seats and console in? What was done to make them fit? And has any one ever put the expedition rear seats in the back of their screw cab? (I just want the front and rear seats to match. That's why I want the rear seats in my screw)

Dont get the TB Spacer its just a paper weight. but everything on your list looks good!


I think for the front seats they bolt right up, and i have another f150 that i worked on that I did the limited edition Harley front and rear bucket w/ console swap on looked really clean too . just took me 6 months to find a matching set.

Because its what I want. I have no need for a 4x4. Plus I got a great deal on my screw cab. And I like lifted trucks. I don't plan on "going bogging", just through shallow mud holes on the weekends and going through the "golf pit" as we call it here. It's an old abandoned golf course a mile from my house. I go there now, just want my trick lifted for more ground clearance. Bought it from a guy I know for $5000, and making $160 a month payments on it. Had 129,000 miles and completely bone stock when I got it. Plus, it was a older man who had it. He took VERY good care of it. Looks and runs new! Only problem I've had is that the manifold gasket broke and and started leaking (due to the back two upper and lower bolts on the manifold broke) But I had it fixed last week at meineke for $200. They replaced the gasket and the broken bolts.

get the 4.88 gears with a master install kit. it would also be a good time to add a locker or a LS in there.

e-fans and programmer would be good, but pretty much everything else you listed, besides the cams, would be pointless.

i wouldnt do cams either, it would be a small performance gain for the thousands it would cost to get them put in, unless you can do them yourself.

I thought about doing the Harley swap, but I thought it would be whole lot easier and cheaper just to go to the local pick an pull yards around here and get the expy seats and console. UNLESS, I find someone parting out a Harley edition or I find somewhere online that sells the seats. Might check eBay here and there also. No rush on the seats. Trying to save up the money to get the lift and wheels first.
