would you trade in the truck scenario

Over the past 6-7 months I have put about 3500 to 4k in the truck. From tires to exhaust etc.. I know I probably wont even get 7k from the dealer on trade in but I found an 07 dodge 2500 tx edition. Heavy duty front and rear bumpers, and everything already on the truck(tires, wheels, exhaust etc..) Oh, and its 4x4. They want 22900 for it and it has 67000 miles. Would you trade in for it if your current truck is paid off and can afford the note financially?

I wouldn't trade in your truck. Try and sell it on Craigslist. I know you maybe without a car, but even if your get an extra $1,000 from it, it was a good decision.

Yea, if you can sell it yourself you'll probably get more, especially if you can find someone who's willing to appreciate the mods you did to it.

Yeah the more and more I look at my truck I just see all the money I have put into it and i would like to get it back from selling if
possible. Think I'm going to go get it appraised and see what they will give me.

Sorry man, but mods add absolutely no value to your truck. In some cases it may even hurt the value. Like others have said, find someone that really appreciates your truck and will maybe give you high end of the kbb value (stock). No one is going to pay top kbb value and more for your mods. Well, unless they're really dumb or really want that truck.

I went to check out the truck I was interested in and alot of things were wrong with it. Had a cracked wheel and bald tires and they would not replace them without adding to what they were asking for which I thought was total bs with the wheel being cracked. Figured that falls into safety and cant believe they want to sell it to someone to drive off the lot like that. Wait, yes I can lol.

Well that sounds like a pretty shaddy dealer and theres prob more wrong with it than just that, and if they wont change those to make a deal chances are they wont help you if something else goes wrong with it the next week...

Another thing to point out, the cracked wheel might indicate that it might have a death wobble. Its very dangerous and Dodge is notorious for it.
