Starting the V10 swap in 99 F-150

Small update... My compressor started leaking and I damaged the radiator trying to remove it, so I added this info to the first post.
If you need to replace or reseal the A/C compressor, do it while the engine is out, because once the V10 goes in, you have to pull the radiator to remove the compressor.

Thanks for this thread, it has been very helpful.
Is it possible for you to add the pictures back?
Specifically I am interested in seeing how you cut clearance for the AC compressor.
I am preparing to do a V10 swap on a 7700 F150, but I have a complete donor vehicle so hopefully that will help make it go smoothly.

In the meantime, here's every picture I have of the V10 swap.

I love Florida. The wildlife is amazing, we go to Disney once or twice per week and the beach is always close. The humidity doesn't bother me much. I like it better than the desert. We bought a strong house in a great location so Irma was just an inconvenience for me. Sorry to any of you affected by the hurricanes.
My health is not so awesome. I had\have kidney cancer. They took out part of my left kidney a couple months ago. I'm supposed to follow up with an oncologist, but I'm tired of all this. If it's my time, so be it. I weigh 25% less than I did 6 months ago and I was never heavy. I still have a lot of trouble driving so the F150 has been neglected and the Viper even grew mold in the garage.
The F150 needs tires, ball joints, CV's, a new winch cable and a myraid of small things I would do if I had the energy. The winch mount I made of street sign post is still fully intact even after breaking lots of palmetto trees and finally the winch hook.

So the intermediate harness idea sucked. Many of the wires didn't match up so I started moving pins and stealing pins from the V10 body harness and then I realized that meant I couldn't rely on the V8 ECU pinouts matching up with the V10 harness. Duh...
So, back to the V8 harness - I had two so my original is still intact. I bolted down the intake and installed the coils then started to see how things looked and ran into another snag. The fuel injector plugs on the V8 are different than the V10. I have snipped all the injector connectors off the V10 harness to solder to the V8 harness.
I have also done little stuff like install the starter, torque converter nuts, (glad I remembered to swap my 4 hole flexplate from the V8) transmission to engine bolts, oil change, transmission fluid change, throttle body cleaning, and front accessories.
The A/C compressor is very close to the idler arm bracket, but I think it will be OK. ***EDIT: It's not OK!*** Same thing for the IAC after some bashing.
I made a spreadsheet of what pins I'll need to move around at the ECU to work with the V8 harness. It took some thinking because COP 1 on the V8 harness is no longer COP 1 when used on the V10. I made a little illustration to help me keep things straight. I'll update the pic below as the project progresses if changes are made.

Not yet. The truck and I are both very tired and could use some new parts. The truck is currently unregistered yard art, but fully functional.
