Finally ordered my 3" coils and doestch UCA's this morning. Now time for the waiting game.

pizzaman711 03-30-2011 01:41 AM

Nice man! I can't wait to see them on your trucks its gonna look sweet!

b2therad 03-30-2011 02:22 AM

You dirty teaser whore! Who will be in the 10" club? This guy!

Hahah after reading my response again I must say-no homo.

pizzaman711 03-30-2011 02:25 AM

more like the 9.5" club i don't think hes keeping the spacer for that extra 1.5" greatness

no homo of course haha

Buxton91 03-30-2011 02:38 AM

Yeah like pizzaman said I'll only be in the 9.5" club. :(

I want to keep good ball joint angles so the daystar isn't going in with the new coils. But now you've kinda got me thinking. Maybe I could find a 1/2" spacer to throw in there just to be able to say it's 10". haha

pizzaman711 03-30-2011 02:52 AM

haha just go with the 11" and keep your spacer youll be one of the biggest 2wds on here then and we all know size matters :)

no homo again... dang its bad i feel the need to call this after all my posts ha

Buxton91 03-30-2011 03:04 AM

But is it worth replacing ball joints every 2 months? haha

pizzaman711 03-30-2011 03:14 AM

Haha deep down that child inside you is telling you it is worth it. Everyones inner child says keep going higher haha

Buxton91 03-30-2011 03:17 AM

No, deep down it says "Long travel ftw!" haha

Did you ever hear back from them about what ball joints these use?

pizzaman711 03-30-2011 03:42 AM

thejake said he was pretty sure they were 1999 chevy 1500 balljoints but as for doestch and springtech I got no replies and left on hold when I asked. And my inner child says long travel too but my bank account says not for a long time haha

Buxton91 03-30-2011 03:50 AM

10-4. I knew they were chevy 1500's but didn't know the year. Yeah idk about springtech, but doestch's customer service is SLOW. Anytime I've ever emailed them it's taken atleast 2 weeks for a reply.

pizzaman711 03-30-2011 03:52 AM

Yea, I didn't get email replies back yet from either one and its been about a week. But I tried looking online for the chevy ones and all I could find were ones like our oem balljoints where it comes with the complete control arm. It's so confusing haha.

joh408 03-30-2011 11:23 AM

Got em on yet? Haha man all you guys going higher than me... I gotta catch up soon

Buxton91 03-30-2011 02:59 PM

I wish! I'm hoping they get it shipped to me by the end of next week.

I think It's time for you to invest in a body lift! haha

b2therad 03-30-2011 11:15 PM

Keep your spacer in there, and you'll be on my level then . Youll be sitting almost as high as gator crew, but I think he about 1" on me.

Long travel FTW always, but long travel will not "lift" your truck like you think it will. Most of them are only good for 4-6" of actual lift over stock height.

Once again-no homo anywhere in this post.
