my truck/project, and request for pics/opinions

hey everybody, just figured i'd intruduce myself. this is my first 97-03, and am still getting used to it but i love her. my first vehicle was my 92 F150 5.0 that i put a lot of work into, then a 01' Dodge Dually Diesel. and a few fox body Mustangs in there too moving on, heres a pic of when i bought it

and currently

and last F150

American Racing 16" wheels, 285/75/16 Dakota MT's, Herculined bumpers, grillguard, side steps, lower half of truck and flares, dual exhaust, CAI, throttle body spacer, Optime Red Top, CB, Firestik antenna, Pioneer stereo, electric fan mod tomorrow and a transmission sometime this month, mines dying. ive also got a line on a ranch hand replacement front end for $200 im gonna pick up. does anyone have pics of one on a stock ride height truck? also hoping to get a couple more inches of lift somehow. really hate body lifts and cant afford suspension so we;ll see what happens

I was thinking the same thing. The finish on your wheels looks tarnished or they could just be dirty in the pics. You could just have your current wheels painted or powdercoated black. I think I'd go with a satin black or flat black. I believe a glossy black would't blend well with the bedliner material.

yeah, the wheels are tarnished. one of these days im going to flat black them, even thought about Herculiner . but theres a good weight to the stuff and decided not to. and thanks for all the compliments and i do like the stance. i loved my last F150, she was my baby. and i LOVE the Dakota MT's, almost as much as i loved my MT ATZ's. AND, i just picked up a full-replacement Ranch hand for $220! it needs paint/Hercliner, but theres still a good amount of powder coating and its gonna be hell to strip it. so im gonna throw it on as-is and probably sand blast it at a later date

Three badass trucks, your current one is my favorite though. As everybody else said, new wheels are a must. Since you can't afford a suspension lift and don't want a body, remove those sidesteps and it will look a bit taller. And if you sell them, use that money towards some new mods.

yeah ive been thinking about taking the steps off. the only reason they're there is for guards really. and the current wheels will probably just get painted flat black with wheel paint.

and i will be selling my front bumper, grill guard and sell/trade my fog lights. i love them but the new bumper has the rectangle cutouts. so if anyone wants to trade lemme know. mine are Hellas
