How to remove Daytime Running Lights

Yes, I got a Canadian model, so I got Daytime Running Lights, can I remove it/shut it off?

just start cutting wires till they turn off

Seriously man, I need to shut them off so I can upload my tunes.

Crawl under left front bumper and look up behind your driver side headlight. You will see one or two connectors (two if you have foglights). Just unplug and tape off so dirt don't get into the wires.

Yer good to go!

This is the wrong way for certain years I found out. On the Heritage models its the #9 Fuse, all I did was pull it out and kaboom no DRL.

Thanks for the help though, I could use that way on my 02 though (headlight)

what does drl have to do with your tune?

Can't have much electrical pull when uploading a tune. Headlights might pull enough to mess it up, so I took them off.

There should be a resistor on the rad cradle to the right of the drivers head light. Unplug the connector. Look at the left of the picture just below the grill.

Digging up an old thread to say a big THANK YOU for posting this.

This worked like a charm on my 04 Heritage.

I wouldn't have stood a chance figuring this out on my own. Super grateful for this forum and folks like you.
