2001 Super Crew 4x2 - 4.6 xlt 9x20 stock Harley wheels NEEDS BIG TIRES
 

MY PROBLEM TO ADDRESS, I need a bigger side wall height on my Harley wheels.

BACK STORY, My 2001 F150 Super Crew 4.6 4X2, NOW Has 9x20 stock Harley rims,( NOT STOCK tire size 295 45 R20 yokohoma). These tires are low profile and my rims are at risk of being damaged. I have talked to a few people in the truck field and co-workers at my dealership, all of them give me different sizes that are not to different, sizes are 275 55 R20.............. 285 50 R20............roughly speaking a total of 31 inchs or it will rub. My friends dad has an 2003 Harley Super Crew, he had put 305 55 ( or 50 ) R20 on his with no prob. I think the suspension on the Harley is different. Mybrother is going to buy me tires, WOO HOO........ thank God cause I'm Broke. Im looking for a beefy side wall height and if he's going to buy them i'd like to get what i want. thankfully he said just let him know and he'll get them. but the research so far has not been fruitfull.

THE QUESTION,

WHAT IS THE BIGGEST TIRE SIZE I CAN FIT ON AN 2001 XLT F150 SUPERCREW WITH 9X20 STOCK HARLEY WHEELS AND STOCK SUSPENSION, PICTURES ALWAYS HELP, once you mount the tire you own the tire.

P.S. DEPENDING ON RESPONCES TO THIS QUESTION MORE QUESTIONS MAY COME ABOUT LIFT KITS, BUT I KINDA WANT TO BE ABLE TO PARK HER IN MY
GARAGE.


PLEASE HELP.............

I have a 6" RCD lift with 35s, and I can fit in my garage. I had to replace my lift up garage door with a rollup door, but it fits. The top of my truck is 6'10". Sorry, but I'm no help on tire sizes...

I'd suggest a 295/50-20 or 305/50-20. Both are almost 32 inches tall.
