Update: When I got the truck there was an aftermarket hood on the truck and it was taken off as well as the bumper and mirror. I replaced them and have not had a chance to paint the hood. I replaced the gas tank because it had a hole in the bottom of it where someone had drilled to steal the gas. If you have any other questions feel free to ask.

Actually its my truck for sale, wrong section I know. Didn't run into anything. The hood, bumper and mirror were stolen off my truck and replaced but not painted. When they stole the hood they dented the fender all to hell and I replaced that as well.

For $6k? Where is the other one? That seems like a lot of money for that truck.

How many miles are on the truck? $6k could be quite a bit for a '97, but if the miles are low enough its not a bad deal - especially for a 4wd truck...they're pretty expensive where I live. Also, is it an XL or XLT? XL's sell for super cheap...you can find '01s for around $6k. The roof spoiler and mismatched hood, however, will deduct from the value of the truck. I know I'd have a hard time looking past the roof spoiler :o

How many miles are on that truck? Your truck in fair condition on KBB is barely worth 4K with 100,000 miles. So, it looks like you're trying to get back some cash for those wheels and tires. I think you would have better luck selling the truck with the stock wheels and tires (if you still have them) and selling those wheels and tires separate. I'd be interested in purchasing just the wheels if you separate them

Well I paid $2000 for the wheels and tires and they don't even have 200 miles on them and that is actually a high guess in miles. If I could sell them for around $2k I would let the truck go for $3k with my other rims and old 35's. Wasn't really sure what I could get for the truck so I just put that out there and was hoping to get some feed back. Really hate to sell the truck but I need something more practical for daily driving.

All in my opinion.

The lift doesn't really add value. It's a $200 part. The wheels/tires, sure they are nice. I'd never pay $2000 for wheels. I don't particularly care if you paid $2000 for wheels. I'm not giving you $2000 extra for them. I'll buy a lightly used set of wheels/tires for $800, and get the ones I want. You keep 'em

That gets the truck down to $4k. Well the hood needs paint at minumum. That's going to cost $300. Now we're talking $3700. Much more inline depending on what the truck needs.

FWIW- I bought the 00 f150 I'm driving now for $4000 last month. No rust, clean interior, 4x4 4.6l 5speed ext cab, xlt, edge programmer, K&N FIPK, and Magnaflow Exhaust. It does have 173k but runs/drives great.

I have seen trucks similar yours and stock in the $2xxx range. I didn't check the condition though.

Well congrats on buying an 00 for $4k. Really don't care and has nothing to do with what I am selling. Some people like the wheels and tires and some people would like to skimp on it and not pay the price for good quality where it counts. If you do some research you will find that a good set of wheels and tires of this size will cost no less then $1500 shipped. As for the price of the truck, I set it at $6k to start and to hear some input and see what the market is at. The low value of this truck with the millage and condition is $4k+, the amount of money and new parts put into this truck go way over the $6k mark and don't expect to get what I have into the truck. I could have the hood painted by a professional body shop for under $100 and if it was the buyers request I would have it done. I never said the lift added any value what so ever. Just because you would not spend the extra money for the add ons, I am sure there are people out there who would buy a truck with wheels, tires and lift already installed rather then buying the truck and going through the trouble of buying them later and paying for installation.
-Good day.
