Jake, I'll send you a PM.

---

I'll take a picture in the morning of my new third brake light, but here is my dome light that I just did.

I'm loving it, it's not blinding when you turn it on or when getting in or out of your car and it turns on, it's just a nice red light.

For some reason the headlight switch, where the headlight bulb goes, doesn't light up. But the LED lights up on another spot, so it's not the light. I switched them around and still didn't work, did I blow one of those little black small chips or what? Because the first LED I put in, blew on my due to no resistor. Now, I got a 680ohm resistor, soldered it to the negative, and did what I was suppose to and it didn't work.

I'm also planning on removing the steering wheel to replace those bulbs as well, just can't seem to find that thread on how to do so.

Okay, well I got the steering wheel controls off, all I had to do was make sure the power was disconnected, pop the two plastic covers on each side of the steering wheel, take the bolts out, remove the airbag, disconnect the airbag, and I took my LED, and made sure I knew which side the positive went on, cut the zip ties, and brought it inside. I soldered one LED on, plugged it in to make sure it would turn on, it worked.

So, I replace all the lights with the red LED lights, and now they wont turn on, I haven't tested to see if my cruise control works or not, but, I'm more worried about the lights not working. I have no clue what I did wrong. Anyone else that have done a swap like this know what might be the problem? Should I just unsolder every LED and see whats up?

Can you get some pics of the LEDs in them. My best guess would be that maybe one led is backwards and the circuit isn't complete. Might just have to double check

Yeah I was going to do a quick write up on it, it's easy, but just being a pain right now. I guess I'll unsolder each light, and keep testing them once I install a new one. I'll do it tomorrow after work.

I'm mailing him mine, as I just replaced it with an aftermarket, which here is the picture of the new 3rd brake light.

I think the left red LED's aren't lighting up as bright as the right side. But, I think I'm going to switch to the Lightning 3rd brake light, due to me already having lighting tails and getting lightning heads.

---

Also, I'm not into decals, as I hate it when someone puts the make of their vehicle over their window, like everyone's dumb enough not to know what kind of truck they are driving. But, I would like to place all my ford emblems with patriotdecal, but worried it wont come out good. I want to make my F-150 emblems black with red lettering, and my Ford emblems the same, anyone done this and how hard is it?

Edit: I ran outside to grab the wire, I snapped all the solders off, so it looks like a mess, and I suck at soldering. So, when you see the picture, you'll see the copper circles, the stock bulbs weren't soldered, they were glued I believe, because I had to either scrap them off, or just snap the leg off and keep the glued area on. Now, I took a 3mm bulb and placed it on the copper circles and they didn't light up, but if I place them on the copper circles that have wires glued to it, it lights up, so I have no clue what is wrong with the copper circles I had, maybe the soldering messed them up?

Steering Wheel:

Proof my LED works and my wires work

Behind the light:

The red circles are where the legs of the LED go, and now they don't generate anymore power to the bulbs, the blue is the legs and solder I snapped off the copper, and the green circles is where wires of the controls are, but they generate power still.

Anyone here knows whats wrong with the previous copper? They worked before I installed all 3 LED's, and I even tested 1 LED that I soldered first (I believe I did).

I guess I'll just put my steering wheel back together until someone with electrical experience knows what is wrong, or I find a solution.
