what gears for 37's or 38's?

i eventually want to get some 38's or 37's for my truck. but i want to breake the gears in first, before i put on the larger tires. how does the truck drive with 4.88's and 35's? i wont be running this combo but for a month.

Do yall think 4.88's are too much for 38's or should i go with 4.56?

whats yall rpms at 70 with your particular ratio and tire setup?

thanks

you will definatly want 4.88s

seems like most the guys with 38's around here are running a 4.88 setup thats what i plan to go with eventually.

4:88's with 35's are fine.

RPM's at 75 will be at about 2600 or so.

They will drop just below 2500 with 38's.

yall dont think that is too high of a rpm?

what kinda gas mileage do you get? it cant be much worse than what i get now!

around 12

YOu will love that setup. I have had it for more than a year now.

i'd say 4.88s with anything over a 35", 4.56's will suffice a 35" max.

im kickin myself because i got 4.88's and 35"s, now that i have a blower i could run a shallower ratio and save some gas mileage and some rpm at cruise.

trust me..you don't want less than 488s if you are going to be running 37 or 38s

well look at it this way, you already have the expensive part done, go ahead and lift a couple more inches to fit 37s!
