I am wanting to do the same to my 60/40 seats, but I am afraid I will get in way over my head if I start to do it. Let me know how it turns out.

 

Hey Grafix, give us the 411 on that power kit. I hate trying to reach over and roll up/down my pass window when I'm driving!

 

that might be a cool thread on how to install the kit as well. Is the motor included in the kit?

I didnt want power windows because I had failed motors on other vehicles in the past, but if comes with all you need in the kit for $60, I am game

 

try to find an expy seat, or alteast the hardware. there are a handfull of lightning guys that swapped into a 40/C/40 from 40/60

 

in regards to the console etc.. no worries... did something already will post pics soon.

as for the windows cmon guys just search...they're all over the place...
this one was from ebay so finding another one at same price is up to you.. they usually start at 150-200

hey grafix did you ever put those new emplems on. if so how did you get the old ones off. i tried when i bought a new tailgate. was horrible. it was cold out some one told me just use heat???

 

hope somebody does a how-to-thread with pics on the wiring for this. I would like to install this in my truck

 

just search.. there are plenty of kits on ebay, the net, and in store... you can find anything if you spend 2 minutes looking people

no not yet.... but raptor i beleive did a how to thread.. just search is threads created for it...

Well I bought my expedition console for this sole purpose but was debating buying new seats or re-upholstering my 60/40 bench to make it happen... sure enough for myself it was cheaper to re-upholster.

So after about a month of hassling my upholstery shop to take the truck in (as they are backed up due to the snow) they finally took it in to work on. After just under a day of work I got the truck back last week after they finished and must say I am more then happy/surprised with the results.

Passenger Seat Corner... looks 100% factory
I purchased an expedition seat leg from a fellow member on the board, they did however supply a retraction bar which they included for free with the install as my original retraction bar went all the way across the seat/bench... while the new one is just the seat.


Final Product...nice and snug...
Hate the tan colour but no biggy waiting for warm weather so i can paint it to match...


Storage... finally gotta love it...

Looks great, I wish I had the courage to take on this project. I really want to do it, but I'm afraid I will get the seats out and realize it's a bigger project than I thought or not have the right parts for the job.

 

easiest way is finding some seats from a scrap yard... or i've even seen them on ebay for you guys in the states
