Mega Raptor Takes Things to a Whole New Level

By -

The Mega Raptor sets itself apart from the crowded competition as one of the only lifted offerings on the market.

Most new truck shoppers have grand visions for their purchase. Maybe it involves a lift kit, wheels and tires, or even some beefy new bumpers. But when you’re talking about the Ford Raptor, modifications aren’t as prevalent. And the reason why is quite simple. The Raptor is already pretty much perfect as is, with a host of carefully selected and tuned aftermarket parts installed from the factory. And still, the Mega Raptor, is well, even more Raptor than the Raptor.

Thanks to Town and Country Ford, we get to take a close look and spin around the block in this wild creation.  Built by Southern Comfort Performance, the Mega Raptor looks absolutely killer, for starters. It all started with a stock, top of the line Raptor equipped with the 802A equipment group. To that, SC added a 4-inch Fabtech suspension lift, Beast Fuel wheels, and 37-inch Nitto tires.

To make the Mega Raptor look even more sinister, the stock bumpers are ditched in factor of Addictive Desert Designs pieces. The front bumper holds a 40-inch Rigid light bar, while the rear bumper sports a host of various lighting upgrades.

The result of all that is a pretty killer truck. The Mega Raptor may not sport the most gear of any aftermarket conversion, but it’s a nice combination of parts, no doubt. And according to T&C host Mitchell Watts, the ride quality is very similar to a regular Raptor. Pretty impressive given the lift and massive tires.

In the rapidly expanding world of turnkey custom trucks, the Mega Raptor makes a nice addition. And as one of the only lifted Raptors of the bunch, it’s pretty unique among its heated competition, too!
