George W. Bush’s F-150 Sells for $300k at Barret-Jackson
Now, to you and me, $300,000 is a lot of money for an F-150. For some people though, the principle matters more than money though. That’s pretty much the only reason I can think of why someone would drop $300,000 on a used truck. Even if it was owned by president George W. Bush.
Interestingly, Jay Leno took prodded the audience for bids, urging them to pony up for Fisher House Foundation charity. The last car he auctioned for them went for over $600,000. They’ll have to make due without about half that his year.
Bush says he hasn’t driven the truck around on the street, but he was able to drive the truck around on his ranch in Crawford, Texas. It’s a King Ranch, so whoever bought it will be glad to find leather interior and and a 310hp 5.4 liter V8. Former president Bush also saw fit to leave his signature on the right airbag panel as further proof of ownership. From the looks of it, that signature is doing wonders for the truck’s resale value.
