George W. Bush Shows Off His F-150 and His Ranch

By -

Jay Leno catches up with George W Bush and his F-150 to see what he’s up to since the days of his presidency.

Former US president George W. Bush left the Whitehouse over ten years ago if you can believe it. Since then, he has not stopped doing what he can for the USA. His 1600 acre ranch is home to a tree farm run by himself and his wife, Laura Bush. They also use the ranch as a venue for various charity events. That’s a lot of ground to cover, and Bush makes his way around the property with none other than a 2013 F-150 King Ranch.

In this CNBC Prime clip from Jay Leno’s Garage, Jay Leno meets up with the former US leader on his ranch outside of Dallas, Texas, and takes a tour of both the property and the truck.

“When he escapes Dallas, he heads to his Crawford Ranch, where he is known to get his hands dirty. Whether he is clearing brush or tending to his tree farm, he is often seen loading up the back of his Ford F-150,” says Leno

“I really really like this truck. It’s a Ford 150 King Ranch version, and it’s handy, as they say. Very andy,” says Bush

He takes Leno down a trail on his ranch, showing the various aspects of the property. It makes easy work of their rural land and keeps the former president comfy with its signature leather seats. Though he is not allowed to drive on public roads for security reasons, he is free to drive on his property. Bush hasn’t driven on a public roadway since 1993. This rule applies to all presidents and high-profile public figures.

The Bush’s certainly didn’t let Leno get away with clean hands. He got some Texas experience when he uprooted a tree for the former first lady and loaded it into the back of the King Ranch F-150. Immediately thereafter, Leno helped load up some compost into the bed of the truck as well.

“Thanks, Jay. You’re a hell of a compost piler,” says Bush.

Bush maintains his involvement in helping injured US Veterans re-enter normal life. His ranch and the efforts of his F-150 King Ranch keep him actively involved in the country he once led. It is excellent to see he is still working towards what he believes in behind the scenes.
