Ford F-150 Military Edition: Best-looking Custom Yet?
A stunning level of detail and some gorgeous paintwork make this Ford F-150 stand out in a crowded field.
The Ford F-150 is what you might call a giant blank canvas. A vehicle that just begs you to mod it. And your choices for building a custom F-150 are about as expansive as they could possibly be. Whether you want to build it yourself or just buy a turnkey custom conversion straight from the dealership. And if you choose to go with the latter option, you’ll have a hard time finding anything sweeter than the new SCA Performance Military Edition Black Widow Ford F-150.
By now, you’re probably familiar with the regular Black Widow F-150, which we’ve featured numerous times in the past. It’s a nice package offering a host of visual and performance upgrades that really set your truck apart from the millions of others on the road. But the Military Edition takes things one big, important step further. And SCA does it with one heck of a nice custom paint job.
That’s right – a paint job. This is no vinyl wrap, which is typically what today’s matte-finished vehicles employ. “This truck actually started its life as an Oxford White F-150 XLT,” Town and Country TV points out in this video spotlighting the amazing truck. “They completely sanded it and repainted it from the ground up. They disassembled the entire truck, painted the door jambs, everything.” The stunning paint even extends to the interior, where several matching trim pieces help give it a nice contrast.
Of course, the Military Edition Ford F-150 sports all the goodies you’d find in a “regular” Black Widow, too. That includes a special Fabtech 6-inch suspension lift, 35-inch BFG K02 tires, and one-off Black Widow wheels. A Gibson exhaust gives it a nice, throaty sound. And there’s plenty of painted and stitched custom badging everywhere to let everyone know you’re driving something truly special.
All-in-all, the Military Edition Black Widow is one heck of an attractive package. Maybe even the nicest one you can buy in a crowded custom Ford F-150 market!
