Ford Beefs up Parts Warranty: Two Years/Unlimited Mileage plus Labor

Ford Parts Warranty

We’re all quite familiar with the “Built Ford Tough” slogan as applied to Ford Trucks. With Ford’s new Service Parts Warranty, that famous slogan can easily apply to the individual parts that make up a Ford truck, or even a Ford car.

Now that Ford is offering two-year/unlimited-mileage coverage for replacement parts, it appears the company is, more than ever, standing firmly behind the quality of its goods by more than doubling its previous 12-month/12,000-mile replacement part warranty. The icing on the cake is how Ford is offering labor cost reimbursements of up to $150 to requesting fleets and installers. With the old warranty, labor was only covered if the parts were installed at a Ford/Lincoln dealership.

You already may be a beneficiary of this new coverage — if you’ve made a Ford/Motorcraft part purchase on or after October 1, 2013, you’re included in the new warranty, and that probably makes you feel as good as the time you hit your first home run in little league.

For parts like spark plug wires, struts, shocks, sheetmetal, batteries, transmissions and engine assemblies, Ford already offers enhanced coverage; its new Service Parts Warranty does not affect those greater warranties.
