Copycat! GM Going Aluminum With Next Gen Silverado

The potential hassles of switching to aluminum have been well documented at this point, but Ford is probably the best equipped automaker anywhere to handle the transition. Still, it’s a large scale change that’s going to alter the pickup truck playing field permanently. Whether or not it’ll work out in Ford’s favor is the big question.

GM (and everyone else honestly) will be watching how Ford handles the roll-out of the new F-150 very carefully.
