Ford brags about its do-it-all new truck in bold, stylish clip.

With every generation and every refresh, the F-150 gets a little (or sometimes a lot) better. Gone are the days when it took 10-plus years before you saw any sort of major updates on trucks. In perhaps the most competitive segment of the automotive world, it’s either lead or follow. And Ford’s F-Series pickups have never been followers. Case in point: the 2018 F-150.

2018 Ford F-150

It was only three years ago that the F-150 underwent a major overhaul for its 13th generation. Yet we’re already getting a refresh that includes some styling changes. But the real meat of the 2018 F-150 lies under that attractive sheet metal in the form of technology and drivetrain upgrades.

And that’s what this video is all about. Like a virtual victory lap, Ford highlights all the things that once again raise the bar in the hyper competitive truck market. Pre-collision assist with pedestrian detection, adaptive cruise control, better towing capacity, and more powerful and efficient engines. Oh, and don’t forget about that new 3.0 liter Power Stroke diesel.

Tougher, smarter, and more capable. So while it may seem like the competition is still playing catch up, Ford isn’t going to give them a chance to do so. They’re just going to keep raising the bar. And us F-150 owners just get to keep reaping the benefits.
