2018 F-150 Review and Walkaround (Video)

Take a closer look at Ford’s latest and greatest in this 2018 F-150 review.

Ford’s refreshed F-Series truck hasn’t even hit the market yet but we’ve already found at least one 2018 F-150 review. Town and Country TV, the YouTube channel of Town and Country Ford in Birmingham Alabama, took an in-depth look at a new Lariat in the dealership’s latest walk-around video. And we must say, they did a nice job running down all the details surrounding the new truck.

First up are the powertrain options. Buyers can now choose between a 3.3 liter V6, 2.7 or 3.5 liter Ecoboost V6, 5.0 liter V8, and the new 3.0 liter Power Stroke diesel. All of which are revised for 2018 with dual injection. And all of them come with the new 10-speed automatic transmission with the exception of the 3.3 liter base engine, which is still paired with a 6-speed box.

T&C does a nice job pointing out the front end styling differences as well. With wider headlights, it almost appears as if the front end is lower. Out back, the tailgate is revised with a large “F-150” indentation across the bottom. This takes the place of the regular old badge that used to reside in the upper left hand corner.

The truck in the video is a pre-production prototype, so T&C couldn’t show the interior. But like the sides of the truck, not much has changed since 2015 anyway. Overall, it’s a nice rundown and explanation of what sort of differences we can expect this fall. And it just makes us want to trade our current trucks in even more.
