2017 Roush F-150 Nitemare

Is a Supercharged 2017 Roush F-150 Nitemare the Answer for Two-Wheel Drive Performance?

There’s no question that the new 2017 Ford Raptor is a great truck. But what are fans of two-wheel drive performance supposed to do? Ford left Lightning fans behind, but that doesn’t mean you can’t buy something similar. Because soon, the 2017 Roush F-150 Nitemare will hit the market.

In this new video by Roush dealer and popular YouTuber John Trischler, we’re treated to a bit of a preview of what’s to come. The truck shown is a prototype, but much will remain in the production model. The distinctive front end and grill and hood strip will hit production. Wheels will obviously change as well.

Nitemare badges and graphics will let everyone know what you’re driving. Inside, a special two-tone leather interior makes a real statement and provides comfort. And perhaps the coolest thing about the 2017 Roush F-150 Nitemare is that it’s available in regular cab configuration.

But the real moneymaker lies under the hood, of course. And that’s a supercharged, 600 horsepower version of the 5.0 Coyote V8. The blown motor sounds phenomenal thanks to a Roush exhaust. And if that’s not enough, a Phase 2 kit adds 50 additional horsepower for only $450.

Either way, you’re getting a pretty darn fast truck. Especially in regular cab configuration, this should be one of the faster F-150’s around. In fact, the regular cab 600 hp truck comes with a claimed 4.2 second 0-60 time. That’s straight up fast for a full size truck, and enough to outrun a Raptor to boot.

So if you still get teary eyed and nostalgic over the days of two-wheel drive performance trucks, this one’s for you. The 2017 Roush F-150 Nitemare is coming to fill the void that Ford left behind.
