2017 F-250 Lariat: Perfect Combo of Luxury & Capability, Says TFLT
Pickup trucks aren’t known for being luxurious machines, but Ford has managed to bring luxury features to its Super Duty lineup.
Pickup trucks, especially those in the heavy-duty segment, have never been knowing for being ultra-luxurious machines. The vehicles are built with the sole purpose of being able to handle tasks that regular run-of-the-mill trucks can’t. And luxury just isn’t a part of the equation. Ford is looking to change that with its lineup of Super Duty trucks and TFLTruck, which is where we got the pictures from, got behind the wheel of a 2017 Ford F-250 Lariat to see if the new combination works.
The F-250 the outlet tested was fitted with the 6.7-liter Power Stroke diesel V8 engine, which “generates more muscle than one is likely to need on a regular basis,” claims the outlet. But the majority of consumers looking for a pickup truck know how capable the F-250’s powertrain is. What they may not know, though, is just how opulent the interior is.
“Once you’re inside the big Super Duty pickup envelops one in sumptuous surroundings, while serving up virtually all of the latest in technology with intuitive control and switchgear,” says TFLTruck. “It is capable of being both a home office on a construction site, or doing super duty for a gentleman or lady rancher.”
The interior, according to the outlet, is the real deal for any driver looking for a healthy dose of luxury. “The interior ambience presents an altogether different image,” says TFLTruck. “The cabin both fore and aft delivers sumptuous and luxurious surroundings. The interior isn’t the only thing on the truck that has been gone over with an eye towards luxury, though. “The exterior appeal of the F-250 Crew Cab is as attractive as any Super Duty truck can be,” says the outlet.
As a complete package, few vehicles can match the F-250 when it comes to getting the job done in style. “As a highly desirable example of a Super Duty hauler, Lariat 4×4 Crew Cab version of the Ford F-250 is a force to be reckoned with, whether serving as a work base platform or as a luxury ride to a stylish social function,” says TFLTruck.
The truck is so good, in fact, that the outlet could only find one fault with the machine: its size. “In the final analysis, this bigger than life, good-looking hauler is a vehicle for all seasons and reasons – it’s powerful and luxurious rolled into one elevated ride, but you might need to enlarge your garage to accommodate this ride,” says TFLTruck.
