Chevy Silverado vs Ford F-150 vs Ram 1500 Home

With 411 horsepower and 434 lb-ft of torque blasting from the combustion chambers of the Ford F-150’s 6.2L V8, how fast do you reckon it will get to 60 mph when towing 5,000 lbs., and can it beat its competitors that are towing the same amount of weight?

Will the F-150 embarrass the Ram 1500 that is powered by the less-powerful 5.7L Hemi V8 that brings 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque to the table?

How will the F-150 fare against the new Chevy Silverado? That thing’s got a new 6.2L V8 derived from the Corvette. Tuned for pickup-truck duty, it has 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque.

Is the suspense killing you yet? Alright, here are the times:

The Ram towed 5,000 lbs. to 60 mph in 15.84 seconds. The Chevy did it in 12.72 seconds (on its first run). The F-150 was victorious with a 0-60 time of 12.19 seconds, but don’t celebrate just yet.

The Silverado was so close to winning that it got a second try at becoming first place. The Chevy achieved 11.25 seconds on its redemption run. Would the F-150 have gone faster had it gotten a second chance? Conjecture away in the comments.
