All I can say is WOW! I had seen the Gibson Super Truck exhaust system in magazines, but never in person. Having now heard this "cat-back" exhaust system for the 1997 Ford F-150, I am sorry I waited so long to purchase one! Not only does it look far better than stock, but performs as promised.

The Gibson Super Truck system is a basic "cat-back" setup that replaces all the factory exhaust pieces from the catalytic converter to the tailpipe. These systems are quite popular, as they are easy to install, look good, sound great, add noticeable power, and are street legal in most states (check with your state before installing any such system). I opted for this particular system based on looks, price and reputation of Gibson.

Installation was straightforward and quite simple...for a professional. The box I received from Gibson came packed with instructions and all the necessary parts for installation, including the muffler and tailpipe assembly, two Super Truck tips, and three 2 1/2" clamps. The install was so standard that Shane, the technician at Meineke did not even have to look at the instructions. All in all, the hardest part of the install was finding a place to do it...so, if you are considering a "cat-back" system, or other exhaust modifications, make sure there is someone available to do the work.
