Welcome to the Late-model Ford F-150 Email Discussion List. The purpose of this list is to provide owners, prospective owners and enthusiasts of America's best selling truck a convenient source of information exchange. Currently, the list is unmoderated. However, there are rules of conduct, as noted below.

There are two different versions of the list, Digest and List.

By joining the digest, you will receive daily mailings that are a compilation of all messages posted to the list during that day.

By joining the list version, you will receive each and every message posted to the discussion list within an hour of its original posting. With over 800 members to date, it is not recommended that you join this version of the list if you do not check your email frequently. (for example, AOL will "bounce back" messages if you have over 100 messages in your inbox)

This list will not be used for commercial purposes or sold to any marketing organization.

What is considered acceptable behavior?
• Discussion of technical issues regarding the late-model (1997, 1998 & 1999) F-150, F-250's & SuperDuty's.
  
• Discussion of products related to the late-model F-150, F-250's & SuperDuty's.
  
• Discussion of vendors involved with the late-model F-150, F-250's & SuperDuty's.
  
• Absolutely no file attachments
  
• No profanity
  
• No topics overly off-subject
  
• No SPAMMING
  
  

What are some etiquette violations?
• Use of profanity
• Topics overly off-subject
• File attachments
• Posts that are ALL CAPS!
• SPAMMING (one violation results in immediate banning)
• Personal attacks
• Inclusion of entire original post in your response *
• Inclusion of message footer in response messages *

You must be a list member to be able to post to the list. All messages sent by non-members with be rejected. This is a fairly new rule, so if you have found that you are having problems posting to the list, but earlier did not, this may be the problem. You must post messages with the same email identity or address that you subscribed with. (the same is true when you unsubscribe - you must use the EXACT same address or you will not be successful)

Please read a few of the past DIGESTS or individual email messages before posting to the list. This will allow you to observe proper list etiquette, especially with regards to:

When responding to a message, please cut only the relevant information from the original post, rather than inserting the entire original post OR entire digest. This makes the list smaller and much easier to read. Also, please make sure the subject of your posted message accurately reflects your post, rather than..."Re: F-150 Mailing List Digest v1i23" (a message with a subject like that will be automatically rejected - this may be a second reason why your post has not gone through) Please also remove the "footer" information from replies.

Any violations of the rules of conduct that are brought to our attention will result in a warning for a first offense and prompt removal from the list for a second offense. A second violation of these rules of etiquette will result in "read-only" access rights to the discussion list.

You will find that many of your questions have already been answered numerous times. Please check the discussion list archives at F-150 Online for an answer to your question prior to posting it to the list.

Due to the number of members on the list, any requests for email address changes sent directly to F-150 Online will be ignored. To change your list email address, please follow the instructions on how to UNSUBSCRIBE and SUBSCRIBE.

The views expressed by the members of the discussion list do not necessarily reflect the views of F-150 Online or myself. Please do not represent your views as such.
