Kinda...

98SCREAMER,
Once a month, IMHO, sure it counts.

How 'bout my '91. It NEEDS a lot of work. Does that count?

I have had Ford trucks for 20 years, and considered them all to be work trucks. They haul trailers, manure, feed, ladders, lumber, fish, tools, furniture, dirt and on and on and on.

If only any of these were related to my profession, I could write up a large business expense on my taxes.

Last week I found myself called upon to drag a muddy riding ring. It's always something!

When I grow up I'll get a brand new truck, instead of the used ones I have always had.

I love this forum. Thanks for all your help, now and in the future.

To me my 99 is NOT a work truck

For one thing it is a two wheel drive, and another thing it has 34k and still has great paint. I don't want to put a dent in her or scratch her all up in the woods for a while. I have a 76 f250 to haul my firewood up to 24 thousand pounds gross. Anything above that I borrow my dads Superduty. I have a 72 F350 that I haul my logs with, it is a two wheel drive also but it has a few years on it and I consider it a work truck. I don't consider a truck with a 4r70w a work truck. Thats just me though, some people haul there cattle with a 4.2 and a 4r70w. I just get my 390 to do my dirty work.

Hey! I have a 4.2 with auto and she does real well with a load of firewood on the back! Of course I'm careful not to scratch the paint, but she can work pretty hard for a little half ton.

I mainly use my truck to go to school in, haul trash to the garbage dumps 3 times a week, and move my brother and his wife an kids 3 times a year.

I put my 2000 SC XLT 4x4 to work the first night after I brought her home about 3 weeks ago. I have a 5 piece classic soul/blues band and all the equipment that goes along with it so she gets loaded up with speaker cabinets, amplifiers, instruments, lighting equipment and musicians just about every weekend. If it is a smaller club we usually just fill up the truck bed.Bigger gigs we pull a trailer with the extra power amps and cabinets etc.

The truck I just traded in on the 2000 was a '96 short bed Eddie Bauer with a 300 I-6 and 5 speed stick. That old truck hauled the show all over a 5 state area and never once let us down.I hope the new one does the same. I also own a couple pieces of property and am constantly hauling gravel, blgg. material, fill dirt and you name it. I work a truck pretty hard, that's why I have always had a Ford!
