animated,

What would you say to me cutting a hole in the floor of the bed to remove the fuel pump? I was too lazy to drop the tank. besides it was full. To boot I mis-calculated and made the hole too far over so I cut a second hole........

I was just trying to make the point that I think about what's best for my truck (I may give somebody a dirty look, but I haven't freaked out on anyone... yet). Although, maybe your right. I probably shouldn't be allowed to post in the work truck section; even though she's an XL, I treat her like a freakin Ferrari! What can I say, she's the first new car I've ever had and I'm trying to keep her nice. Plus, I work in retail; I'm not using her as a work truck, so why abuse her?

I would say that your a braver man than I.
I think the only thing that would convince me to take a torch to my bed would be a full air ride suspention.

It's one thing to do something to fix or modifications, but abuse just for the sake of it is just going down the path of danger.

This is an internet forum.
As a whole we may pass on ideas, thoughts and pictures. One of the unspoken rules of the internet is no matter what you do someone somewhere is going to hate you for it. With that in mind if it's posted, then it's free game. Although maturity is appreciated.

To the OP, I don't know you, in real life you could be the nicest person in the world or you could be a complete tool, to be honest I could care less. I only said something in hopes that maybe you would re-think your actions to keeps those around you safe. Even before I posted this it had already been said, so I guess it was kind of pointless for me to echo what had been already said. I just felt so strongly about it, that I wanted to say it again. Your going to do whatever you are going to do regardless of what anyone on here says, just be careful in what you choose and keep safe. Also, if I came off as harsh in a previous post, I apologize. I wasn't trying to piss anyone off, I was just trying to state my thoughts on the safety of what your doing.

I've said my bit, I'm not going to post in this thread anymore; I don't see the point of keeping it alive any longer.

yes i love my truck as well i take care of it oil changes every 3,000 miles, i keep up on air press of the tires. i try and keep weght out of it untill i need too...lately ive been hauling a 10.25 1 ton axle back there for a while so thats 800lbs of weght just hangin out. but for the most part untill i overload it my truck isnt loaded. i do take car of it i wash and wax it and keep up with everything on it. i know my truck will last and i know i can load it 5,000+lbs and it will still fire up and run the next day...id be willing right now to drive my truck to the other side of the nation with no 2nd thoughts of anything...sure id have to put gas in it and maybe a 1qt of oil but other than that i wouldnt have any 2nd thoughts of anything breaking.....sure my half ton susption was never designed for this much weght but my leaf springs or shocks have never done anything goofy my truck always springs right back to normal ride height when i take the weght out.

yes i know your just looking out for my safety and when i do overload my truck i do not speed or do anything dumb when i have an overloaded truck....i know to you guys i just seem like a dumb kid who likes over loading his truck....so of the times ive overloaded i had no other opions other than my truck....if i can avoid it i try to...

havnt over loaded my truck since the mill...other than that 1 ton axle. witch im going to sand blast and paint here soon.

How do you add 3000 to 3400 and get 5000?
