The must haves for our farm work trucks are:

1: CPL toolbox (Easy access to all tools when out in the field, and easy to make if you have the right tools) www.montezumamfg.com

2: Cross toolbox for larger tools

3: Highlift Jack (easier to use out in the field than a hydraulic)

4: Air compressor ( We use converted york AC compressors powered by 12volt motors)

5: Off road lights and spot light ( for those all nighters during cotton picking)

6: CB radio

7: Deweze bale bed on a 3/4 ton truck ( we only run 30 steers, but these things are handy to lift anything) www.deweze.com

Tie downs, gotta beable to secure any load and the stock ones seem to be in the wrong place 50% of the time.

on my old 97 i had these spots on my tailgate to hook my tie downs to and they worked perfect for when i had to haul a couple sheets of drywall and other sheets of wood to the job site or back to shop. i dont know if anyone knows what im talking about? my new truck doesnt have those spots on the tailgate which makes it really annoying because the hooks in the box are to high to use when you want to tie down a load that isnt quite tall enough. anyways, thats something im gonna need to add to my new one. get something bolted or welded on or something.
