Work Truck Photos

Anyone know where I can find a tarp with bars in it to span over the back of these 2 top side boxes?

I installed a reverse sensor last month after I almost backed over a sign. It's a little sensitive though, does anyone know a way to tone it down a little?

I thought it was easy but time consuming to install my reverse sensors. It included: splicing the unit to add a longer wire, tearing apart the dash to mount the front LED lights and buzzer, and custom fabricating some aluminum mounts for the rear (I didn't like the steel ones supplied, they didn't fit right with my class 4 hitch). I think it took me 4 hours or so to do. I installed a Ross system that uses microwaves to sense objects because here in MI we get a lot of snow and I didn't want the snow screwing up my sensors.

Nice Truck

So, Hozer, what do you do for a living?

Like your truck and would like to get some racks/boxes myself. Where did you get the rack and toolboxes?

Just got a '05F150 4x4 and may be making it a work truck. Or somehow make it a combination work/play truck.

Nice job on yours.

Hey rich04150,
I started my own buisness in residential construction back in april. I store all my framing equipment in the boxes (nail guns, extension cords, hoses, etc.), and I store my compressor / miter saw and larger stuff in the bed. I got my boxes from K and W Mfg. Co. out of Bronson, MI. I custom ordered them to the exact height, width, and length I wanted them. They ended up running me $455 each, which is pretty good considering my boxes are much larger then standard weatherguard boxes. I picked them up from the plant to save on shipping. I put a tarp with bars in it across the top of the boxes to keep everything in the bed dry. It works great. I love the setup. I no longer have to worry about my tools getting wet and rusting. Plus I can still put large items in the back if need be (like a 1 piece shower / bathtub). K and W's phone number is 517-369-9708 and they also have a web page out there. Good luck

Oh yeah you asked about the rack too. My rack is a weatherguard full size rack. I bought it from a car/truck accessory place here in Lansing. They are sold all over the us. My only complaint is that it has a little too much flex in the front. You put about 100 pounds on it and it will flex a good inch or so. If I was to do it over again I would look into something a little stronger.

As I am in the process of getting into my local VFD, I am looking at different warning light options. What are the ones you have in your personal vehicle?

Feel free to PM me if you'd rather (or shoot me off an email)
