Carpenters truck

It's a 2005 F-150 FX4. I have had it for about 3 or 4 weeks now.

The last time I had a new Ford was 1986, that was a F-150 4x2 supercab.

your going to hate the short box......nice set up thow. looks like all you have to haul are tools...After the first scratch, it still hurts..But on the up side, new trucks that are kept advertise your expertise..

I've had the short box on the last 3 trucks...for about 10 years now.

Yep, I'm usually hauling tools. Every week or two I haul the equipment from job to job, 24ft poles and staging planks, various ladders etc.

Scratch Yea the first scratch is painfull. I went a year and half with out a scratch or dent on my last truck.

You're right, it's hard to get top dollar if you bid a job and you are driving and old clunker.

I haven't had a business card, job sign or lettering on my truck for over ten years.

I prefer to subcontract, you just put in your 8-10 hrs and at the end of the day you're done. I have 2-3 General Contractors I work for and they just call when they have something ready.

I usually get there in a week or two. If a GC starts to slack off and become a slow payer, I replace him.

That is a beautiful work truck and I think that you will like it. My truck is also used for work and it already had a few scratches, so I do not worry about it too much. I think that eventually, every truck will get scratched and that they are a sign that the truck is being used as one instead of as a show vehicle. I think that the scratches on my truck are a badge of honor and actually makes the truck more dignified than if it were clean and unscathed.
