Cooper Discover AT's?

Anyone have these? How do they compare to BFG All Terrain's? Just saw a truck at lunch with 305/70R16's and they looked pretty damn good!

A buddy of mine has these on his Dodge 2500 4X4 and loves them. He won't buy anything else and as tried to talk me into getting a set when my tires wear out.

Got them on my 00. Good tire so far. I've got 22k on them and they look new.

I had BFG's on a Ranger once. THey are a fine tire for sure, but you pay a lot for them.

My opinion is that the Coopers are a great tire for the money. I paid ~ 500 for the set as compared to $700 for the BFG. Some places wanted $800 for the BFG.

Thumbs up

I had a set of the Coopers on my truck when I bought it used. The tires looked damn good as has been mentioned. They handled great especially in the deep snow as well as rode nice. However they were bald in less than 30K. I didn't drive them hard either. I currently am running the BFG's. I made that decision based on the less than desirable mileage from the Coopers and all of the rave reviews of the BFG's both from this board and guys at work. The BFG's ride nice, handle nice and of course don't cost nice, just under $800 for mine, 265/75/16's. Hopefully they will last as long as they say. Good Luck with your choice, it's a tough one when it's crunch time on the wallet. For looks I liked the Coopers but would still go with the BFG's for what it's worth.
