Talking Largest tires on stock wheels

Hello F150 lovers. I have a 2000 F150 4x4 Lariet with P265/70R17 on stock wheels. What is the largest tire I can install on same wheels. Is there anything that needs to be done to the computer. Will the speedo still operate normally. And should I be looking at P or T, I do not do very much off road. Thanks

You can fit a 305/70-17 (33x12.50) on the stock rims. I have seen pics of a few stock trucks with 35x12.50s on stock rims, but you will have to crank the torsion bars up and do some trimming on the front bumper's lower plastic valance to fit them and they will probably still rub off-road. I think I would stick to 33s unless you plan on lifting the truck latter on. They are about 1 inch taller than your stock 265s, so the speedometer will be off a little. If you go to www.bncoffroad.com, they have a place where you can punch in different tire sizes and see how much the speedometer will be off.

I have 35/12.5/17 mudders on my stock wheels. you need a lift though. I have a 3" body. My torsion bars were cranked long before the lift, so I am not sure if they would have fit without cranking them.
