Question Max. tire size on stock height 150.

See vehicle description below, just a stock height 150 w/ ORP, will be upgrading to 17 inch Ford Lariat wheels in a couple of weeks and need to buy tires....def. have my heart set on BFG A/T's, but was wondering if you can fit slightly larger tires on these trucks...looks like the stock ones are pretty close in the front to the air dam when i turn my wheels in, i am pretty sketchy about doing this torsion bar crank thing, dont wanna have to align my truck, so does anyone have slightly larger than stock wheels on their stock height truck with no problems? lemme know--thanks--medic

you can fit 285 70 17, but bfg only makes those in the mud terrain. you will not fing bfg ats any bigger than your already stock 265 70 17 unless you jump up to 315 75 17 which are 35 inch tires and would require a 3 inch body lift at least. you can fit 33 inch tires on those stock rims, but if you want all terrains you will have to go with procomp 305 70 17s. there are a couple of choices of mud terrains in 33s that will fit. they are the 305 70 17 goodyear mtr (which is what i think i will be getting), the procomp mud terrain 305 70 17, or the slightly smaller bfg 285 70 17 in the mud terrain. that one might be 285 75 17, i can't remember, but either way, all of those will fit your stock 17 inch rims and your truck with no lift. also, torsion bars are easy if you want just a little higher front. i did mine 4 turns on each side just to level it off. that was about 1.5 inches. i could go more, but no need. i also did not have to get an alignment with that little tweak.
