Question procomp 33x12.5x17 or BFG 285x70x17

My question is which one of these tires would look best. I have a 99 f150 orp, I've got 265x70x17 GY, and i don't care for them at all. I want to keep the truck stock with no lift. will either of these tires look better on my truck. Will they fill the fender wells out more than the 265's. Would this look the same as if I went to a 16x8 with 285x75x16.Will I notice a big power loss, I've got the 4.6 V8. Any pictures of the 17inchers on the stock wheels would be appreciated.

I am planning on getting the 33/12.50R17 Pro Comps this summer. I would like to see a picture of your truck if you get this size tire.

ProComp 305's

I'm waiting on a set to replace the stock 265's on my 2000 Sport 4X4, no lift. I had gotten a few pics from a guy on the old mailing list who put 'em on his. Filled the wells nicely.

Debating putting ARE Atlas 17X8's on in place of the stockers.

if i had the money, i would go for the atlas wheels. they are sweet looking. i would probably do them in a 16 inch though.

I just put the Atlas wheels on 16x8 with Goodyear 305x70x16 on my 02 screw. Went with 16 inch instead of 17 inch to keep the overall diameter of the tire close to the originals, that way my speedo is just fine. Tires fit great and look great. Have experienced no loss of power or throttle response. And actually I find the 305's track better than the stock 265's.

Ive got 33/12.5 Pro Comp MTs on 17" rims, and I love them. They handle great and the hum when driving isnt loud at all. They filled the wells really well, but i added a 2 inch bofy lift after a while because I got the Wings West Lightning Front end.

305's came today!

Big 'ol semi dropped the ProComp All-Terrains off today.

Man, these things are beefy! Put 'em next to the stock 265's and now they look like roller skate wheels to me.

Mounting 'em at 11 AM tomorrow. As far as speedo error, it looks to be a tad under 7 percent from the calculators I've checked. Too bad you can't change the speedo gear like on my '98 F. You can electronically change the ratio, but I think you are limited as to how many times you can do it.

That combo with a 2" lift sounds sweet, Nikko.

I'll put pics up in the gallery(Quicksilver).

I just wanted to clarify this statement... the wheel size is not related to the overall diameter of the tire. Moving down one size rim doesn't mean the tire diameter changed. That is soley based upon the dimensions of the tire. [Clarification mode off]

ProComps On!

Got 'em mounted. Check out the Quicksilver gallery for pics.

Very windy in this part of Jersey today... truck handles a WHOLE lot better with these tires on. And the tire noise is very little. May have to go back for some tweaks though... some of the tire weights weren't sitting flush against the rim. Definitely made the shop aware of it(Gemini).

Anybody want a set of 265/70-17 RT/S with 18,500 miles?
