Has anyone done any brake upgrades on their trucks? i would like to do the whole better calipers, slotted and cross drilled rotors and some brake pads. does anyone know who in the heck might sell some good stuff? i dont really care about price when it comes to brakes. whats the best? in pads?

 

I have Cross Drilled and Slotted rotors from JC Whitney with Titanium pads, those things have dramaticly increased stopping power I never worry about me stopping I am always worried about others being able to stop. And I do not have near the amount of brake dust like I used to. But if money is no problem then I would get Bembo (sp?) brake upgrade expensive there are a few L's running them but I think pads alone are $300. There a few others but I dont know that much about them.

 

There's also some sort of swap where you can use F250 front rotors, calipers, pads.

I think the L's use a modified F250 setup. Not sure though. Do a search on it.

I also run titanium pads ($35) and I like them... really no dust. Stop good too on OE rotors.

I have 98' 4x4 though.

 

A while back I read on this site that some were upgrading to the F-250 master cylinder also.

98STX-I was how you found the rotors for your pickup in JC?? I have looked at their catalog online and they only goto a 96 in the drilled and slotted. I too am looking at upgrading my brakes and rotors, 115k on my 98 4x4, and have turned the rotors once and replaced pads 2 times, but they are warped pretty bad now so I guess its time!! Any help would be awesome!! Thanks guys!!
