body lift = Steering problem!!!

I recently put a 3" body lift on my 99 XLT, I have a set of 33" Wrangler MTR's, and about 3 months later I noticed my steering getting loose and rattling, so I took it to Ford and they said the steering rod sleeve, where it slides in and out, was worn, they wouldn't put it through warranty because the rod was cut and a piece welded in to make up for the body lift. So I bought a new steering assembly, but I been trying to figure a way to modify it so it won't wear out as quick. I don't know if it is caused from the lift or the tires??? So I figured I would put a steering damper on to eliminate the tires being the problem. Any other ideas?????

I got performance accessories to send me a new steering column extension because they told me that they had a bad batch,
and didn't know what ones were bad..

Mine started to knock after about 3 days of driving, only off road.

Anyway, Im now waiting for my new peice....
As far as I am concerned, I will never recommend anyone to pa.
They SUCK!!!!!

They forgot to send me my rear bumper brackets the 1st time,
then screwed up again, and again...
