Question 15" rims on '99!?

I'm ready to throw a set of 35's on my '99. The quesion is...will 15 inch rims fit on my truck? I have plenty of buddies who run 15 inch rims on their trucks. The problem is that they have 97 or 98s. I went to my dealer and he said that the brake calipers were too big for the 15 inch rims. Questions...comments?
Replacing calipers is no big deal deal, just a couple of more bucks I could spend on something else.
Any info would be appreciated!

You can shave the Calipers to make a 15in wheel fit. The problem is there are not many 15in wheels in a 5x135 Bolt pattern. If your interested I have 4 Ultra 16x10 in wheels that would work well with some 35's....

16's are probably the best bet. There are a wide variety of styles and widths that will fit on a 150.

How do I change calipers? Unbolt, remove, install, tighten to torque specifications and tada.....changed claipers. Basically it would be a swap from the 99 version to the 97 or 98 whichever I can get from a donor truck.

I have a 98 with 16x10 rims and 35 inch tires and there is no way to stick a 15 inch tire on it unless you extremely modify the calipers. I would think it would just be better to stick on a 16 instead.

The visual helped...thanks for the pic. I have a neighbor who is running 33x12.5/15 and a buddy who runs 35x12.50/15. Neighbor's is a 98 and my bud's is a 97. What do you think the deal is here? Obviously 15 inch rims cannot fit on your truck nor mine, but how do they fit other trucks? I am extremely frustrated. Even been to the dealer...they can't help either.
I would like to go with the 15 b/c the tires are cheaper overall and I do use a lot of rubber...

You can grind the brake calipers to make a 15in wheel fit. The problem is that hardly NOONE makes a 5x135mm bolt pattern wheel in 15in. Good luck finding them other than from a Lightning Tuner. Ford has not had a Factory 15in wheel on the Newer trucks...

You really should consider going with 16" wheels. The average wheel size moves up as time goes on. 15's used to be average, but nowadays, 16 inch(and soon 17") are the average and the tire choices in 15" will dwindle.

For nothing more than tire choice, I would seriously consider going with 16".

Just my two cents

ICULOKN

You might want to check your truck....somebody stole your real tires and replaced them with rubber bands......
