Question will 36" fit with 3" body lift

I am considering a set of 36" tires,
with my truck being a 4x4 off road package sport with a 3"
body lift, does anyone know if I can go to a 36" without rubbing?

Thumbs down

Hell NO buddy. I have 8" of lift and my 37s rub like a bitch. My 33s on 16x10 wheels rubbed with the 3" Body.

Yes and no. 2dollarsteak is correct in what he said, but keep in mind that he has 16x10 rims. With wider rims, no, 36" will not fit. But with a narrower rim or possibly a rim with the correct backspacing, a 35" will fit nicely, and you could get a 36" in there. I had 36" tires on my truck as a test fit when I had only a 3" body lift on my truck and they fit with minor trimming on the front valence. Now, going offroad, you'd be asking for new fenders, because chances are, they would just tear it up, but around town, no problem.

Chunking

I've taken chunks out of my 34.6" tires with my rear fenders when flexed out. Then again, i've gotten some major flex.. I have 16x10 rims with -22mm offset. I dont' think it's the backspacing that matters. that needs to be at least 4.5" to fit the calipers correctly. I think if you went to a positive offset, you could pass by the fender on the outside, but you'll be rubbing big time on the inside. I rub at full turn under full compression on the inner subframe.... and that's only got a 12.5" wide tire....
