Nitto 555's for 16's?

Nitto 555's for 16's?

I want different tires, preferabley ones with more traction, better handling. I know Nitto 555's are the best for that, but all I have are my stock 16's, and for the time being cannot afford better (some monsterous 20's!). As far as I can tell, all Nitto makes for 16's are 205/45. I have 255/70. Thats a huge difference! Diameter difference is 7.8 inches! Thats a huge drop (limited math... half of 7.8 because wheels are connected at the middle, 3.9 inch drop!). Sidewall is lots lower, I don't want to mess up my rims, even though I plan to replace them sooner or later. And sidewall is only 3.6 inches. Dilemma! Dilemma! Good side, ofcourse, it better handling, traction, and only 99 dollars each! Anyone know if they make bigger? Do they stick out to protect the rim? Any input is helpful.
