no 15" rims will not fit. the tires will tho. the brakes are too large to fit the 15 rim on them. Some 97-98 models with rear drum brakes can fit certain styles of 15" rim by eagle #1149 i think is the number. There are only 3-4 15"rims to fit our trucks, and i only know about the 97s...a couple of those 4 or 5 might fit the 99s, but to tell the truth, it would be better to go with 16 rims...they do cost more and that does suck, but in the end you'll get so many more choices and you will be happy with your decision. hope this helps.

Hey guys.

99speedracer is my future brother-n-law, and he is new to the boards. I finally got him on here and posting.

He has the stock 16 inch rims on his truck now. He is wanting to go with some 31's, but is thinking he can't go to wide on the stock rim.

Can you guys suggest a "cheap" mud tire in the widest configuration for his stock rims? Any help is appreciated.

Thanks guys!

His best bet will probably be Pro Comp 305/70-16 mud terrians. There may be some cheaper mud terrian tires in that size but remember, you get what you pay for. Pro Comp is probably the best value in that size.
