I currently have 36x12.5r16.5 Super Swamper TSL's
(they ride horrible on highway great off-road)

I need a new set of tires Here are my options:

1) 36x14.5r16.5 Super Swamper Radial TSL's
249.00 each (free shipping from 4wheelparts.com)

2) 35x12.5r16.5 BFG Mud Terrain T/A's
177.00 each (free shipping also)

My delima is I don't want to downside, but I don't do alot of 4wheeling is it worth buying the ss Radial? Do they ride better?
Please help the free shipping ends tommorrow night.

It really depends on how much you want to spend. My buddy has 35 15.50 tsl/sx on his truck and they ride pretty bad. I think the radials would help alot with that. If you really want to get a tire that is a 36 14.50 that rides like a 35" bfg. You will have to spend a little more, I think 290 a peice for some parnelli jones dirt grips. They ride as good as 35s, but are big and wide. I have the 38 15.50 dirt grips and they are balanced better than my 35" pro comps were. So it really depends on how much you want to spend for the ride quality. If the 35" BFG will look big enough on your truck, I would go with that though. Thats a lot cheaper than 300 bucks a tire... But on my truck, the 35s were just to small, so I had to get bigger, wich is alot more expensive. Good luck. I took me about 6 months to decide on tires, I know how you feel!

between the 2, i would go with the bfg's. unless, you can justify the off-road ability of the swampers (meaning: you're going to use them). the bfg muds are a good compromise tire, long lasting and fairly quiet. they won't go in the LA gumbo like the swampers will, but the trade-off is easier on you. good luck, Rich.
