im trying to buy some front rotors for the truck im gonna replace pads aswell. the truck is rear wheel drive. its a v6 2001 xl. what rotors are on the front wheels the ones with holes that go over studs or the rotors that come with studs sticking out of them? I cant seem to find my answer on google. and I can get to the truck until the weekend to look at it.. thanks

2wd front rotors are 1 piece integrated with the hub. Just go to a parts store and tell them what you have, they can look them up and give you choices. You do have to know whether you have 2 wheel or 4 wheel ABS and 12 or 14 mm studs.

so replacing these isnt just a cottor pin and 36mm socket?

im having a hard time understanding maybe... on my model its 2wd rear, the front rotors come off with the studs attached after removing just the middle big bolt correct? I dont need to fuss around with wheel bearings or anything?

That's all it is.

It's conventional old school. Remove the caliper, remove the cotter pin and nut, pull the rotor/hub off, outer wheel bearing comes off into your hand, inner wheel bearing comes out after you pull the grease seal.
