anyone have this set up???

So, I have a 2005 KR 2wd with a 2.5 leveling kit and 33" tires (Nitto Trail Grapplers 295/70/17). they are mounted on MB wheels chaos 6 wheels which i believe are a +25 offset (5.75" BS i think)... this setup sits flush with the fenders as it sits right now. I am putting 2" wheel spacers on it, for looks only, and i have no rubbing issues right now. My question is, will i have rubbing issues with this new setup (inner/outer fender) or will i be good?
I've seen 4x4's leveled (some not leveled) run this setup with no problem, but i haven't seen any 2wd's in my search... Please help

TIA!!!

Most likely you'll have rubbing issues, there's always the rare occurrence that someone doesn't though.

where would the rubbing come from? would it be something that is trimmable like a lower trim piece or something more major?

sorry for all the questions, but i am out of the mustang world and know nothing about trucks lol

Usually the more you stick out in the front the more chances to rub on the lower wheelwells when turning. Rear should be OK...the ideal setup is what you have right now for not rubbing on a 4x2. Truck looks great as it sits now!

So it can be done....

I put them on this evening and they fit really well. The only trimming needed was on the lower plastic piece on the front bumper, and the excess plastic on the factory fender flares inside the fender wells (closer to the door).
Im very happy with the look and think it has a more aggressive stance.

(sorry for the bad pics... cell phone and needs a wash )

Looks good!

I have wheels with similar backspace specs, +18 offset 5.71" backspace, tires are 295/60-20 Nitto Trail Grapplers, so being M/Ts they are knobby on the side. I put on 1.5" Bora wheel spacers, absolutely love the look, but it rubs the lower cabin side of the wheel wells bad. So bad that the fender flare and well liner need some hacking.

Thanks darren!!
Your truck is absolutely incredible!! I wouldnt change one thing about it!

After a day of driving, the only rubbing im noticing is in reverse at almost to full-lock... im not sure why its only in reverse and not going forward. I guess when i get some free time i'll try to diagnose it. If anyone has any ideas as to why this would happen, i would appreciate it.

Is that picture of your truck with the spacers installed or without? I'm assuming that's a 9" wheel?

2" lift spacer, and 2" wheel spacer? Say goodbye to your front end parts.

Hey Patman, can you explain to me why 2" spacers would be any different than having a negative offset rim that pushes them out?? I'm still learning about trucks and their suspension. I do realize that it is another area of possible failure, but I dont see how that would affect front end components any more than a -25 or -44 offset wheel. Thanks in advanced
