Anyone running EBC pads on stock rotors?

Hi All,

Is anyone running EBC green on stock rotors? I tried Hawks and had fitment issues. I have now tried EBC and I am noticing dusting, squealing, and brakes shake(under hard braking). I am not complaining. I have been in contact with EBC and they are treating me fairly. The brakes stop great!

Should I be able to expect performance pads work with stock rotors? My tech advisor at Ford (who I trust) seems to think they are too much heat for the stock rotors. I currently have a 2012 EB.

What do you think?

Thanks!!

I'm running EBC green stuff on Centric blanks in the front and original OE rotors on the rear...no issues that you previuosly mentioned and stop great.

Squealing can also be from the brake hardware...did those get changed out with new ones when you swapped to EBCs?

No other hardware was changed. Just pads.

Thanks!

7000 front and 6000 rear. It was what they recommended.

Funny...I ran that same pad combo on stock rotors and had none of the problems you describe. Was my favorite set of brakes. A little more dust on the rear than I'd prefer, but the 7000's on the front were almost literally dustless.

EBC 7000s on my 2009 with stock rotors. They work fine. no issues at all. Are your lug nuts overtightened? that can cause shaking if the brakes heat up.

Lugs are torqued to specs. 150ft/lb. I check them myself.

I had green stuff pads on my 2003 with stock rotors and I had bad squealing for about 2 weeks. I dont think I broke them in properly but they stopped and were great after that. Really helped with towing my boat over the stock pads.

Thanks. I am up to about 2k miles and it has not gotten better. I guess I just am not having luck with aftermarket brakes. :-(
