Need Quick Help With Tire Size Please!!

I am going to buy a HBS 2.5" Leveling Kit for my 2005 FX4. I would like to go with a 33" Nitto Terra Grappler. What size do you guys think I should go with? I see people running a 285/65/18, 295/70/18, and a 305/60/18. What size is gonna look the best. I understand the 295 is basically a 35" tire. I don't wanna lose the mileage with a 35. Should I go with a 305 then? I'm confused on this whole situation and it is starting to aggravate me! I can't find many pics of these on a 05 FX4. Any help would be great!

Thanks

You can run 33 inch tall tires without a leveling kit.

35's should fit with that leveling kit on the truck.

Just be careful with wheel offset with wider and taller tires.

I am gonna put them on my stock 18" wheel. Is that gonna affect the offset then? Is the 305 better than the 285?

BFG makes a 305x65x18 TA/KO that's close to 34 inches tall and look's great on the stock Ford wheel's.

Well I like the TA but I don't wanna pay that much for one. I think I like the Nitto a little better. Have had the tire before on a Toyota 4Runner and it was great. I'm just trying to figure out what size tire to buy in it and what size looks the best with a leveled front.

No. It'll just be wider. Offset is what ya gotta look at when going aftermarket with wheels.

I personally wouldn't get the 285/65/18. They are just under 33s and may be too small for your liking. I have 17s, but made the mistake of getting 285/70/17 and they didn't fill the wheelwell very well so I sold them and got some 315/70/17s (34.5s) that I like the look of much better.
