2017 F150 chrome lug nuts

I have a 2017 F150 with standard equipment chrome wheels and Lugnuts I had to change a tire on the highway last night that blew out and I had to drive the lug nut wrench on with a hammer because it doesn’t fit the chrome lug nuts correctly.
has anyone else experienced this problem and what size socket should fit those Lugnuts?
thanks for your help

I go in my toolbox, and get a couple SAE and Metric sockets, and find which one fits the best.

I find a 21mm socket fits the best. But 13/16" will work too.

It depends on how swollen the lug nuts are.

FWIW, if they don't look good, replace them.

In any event, since you applied force to them, I'd suggest replacing them anyways.
