2007 STX Reg. Cab 2wd Project

So I've decided I'm gonna put some money into my 2007 STX. So far I'm settled on a 2-2.5" lift kit ( size pending on measurement of rear height), blacked out head and tail lights and some new agrrssive looking a/t style tires on aftermarket black rims. I've been looking at tires but can't decide between 285/70-17's, 275/70-17's or stock size 255/65-17's. Ideally I wanna go big for a more aggressive off-road look but the price difference is quite substantial as I'm sure u all know. Any suggestions re:Giants tires, brands, makes etc. So far I've liked kumho's at tires

Do you already have the rims?, If not, i'd consider 18's and go with a 286/65 - 18, (obviously my comment is worthless if you already have the 17's though )

Nope I'm still shopping around. Any reason behind the 18 's besides just for looks. I've got stock 17's now and didn't necessarily want bigger rims. Any difference in tire cost associated w going w an 18 as opposed to a 17?

Typically, as you plus size your tires/wheels, you plus size the cost per tire/wheel. There are always exceptions given certain manufacturers.
I priced out a 17" package compared to an 18" - same tires and wheels and the 17" came up $35 cheaper - not much, but it is cheaper.
