I have a 2009 2WD F150 STX. I would like to put 22in Rims and Tires on it. I am a newbie and the tire/rim sizes baffle me. I dont want to put anything on that is going to mess my truck up. What would the proper size Rim/Tire size be (offset, backspacing etc). Would appreciate any help anyone can give as well as some suggestions of a good place to purchase Rims/Tires and what are some good quality makes/models for Rims and Tires. I sure hope someone can help me as I have the money and it is burning a hole in my pocket and I am ready to make the move to make the truck look sharper. Thanks so much for any help you can give it is greatly appreciated.

 

I'd suggest a 22x9.5 inch wheel with 6.5 to 7 inches of backspacing and some 305/40-22 tires.

There should be no problem running 22" rims and tires -- you just need to decide what kind of orientation of the tire edge relative to the fenderwell edge you want so you know what backspacing to go with. Some guys like their tires nicely "tucked" while others like them to stick out from the fenderwells in a very exaggerated fashion.

 

APF150, those are some nice tires and rims. Where did you purchase them? I like how they stick out from you fender well, do you know what the back spacing is on them. Thanks for the help and the pics
