Same thing I've been working on.. Only thing is I've spent almost one whole day on the right side. Couldn't get the old rotor off. Let me know how things go with yours.

Did the method in the film you linked to in your thread "can it really be this easy?" work for you?

Totally curious?

I went with Power Slot Power Alloy Cryo-Treated Rotors.

yes the method did work. But it wasn't as easy it showed on the video. It took me a few moves of the rotor to finally get it loose enough to be able to hammer the rest of the way off. If you search You Tube for Ford rotor you'll find another video that shows the same method and it didn't work for him either. I was cringing as he was beating the rotor with a 3lb sledge and smacking the wheel studs. I alway put my lug nuts back on just in case I miss, like he did a few times.

I still haven't put it back together since I want to clean the out rim of the wheel up of all the rust before I do. I have some sanding flappers that should work good for that. I'll post photos on my other thread as I move along.

Nice, I did the same thing a couple months ago. Except I went with Hawks all the way around. Didn't really have any stuck rotor problems, but I also had my friend, who happens to be a 6'3, 285 pound ex-football player there to beat the crap out of the one rotor that did stick a bit.

If you haven't seen this check it out. Interesting way to remove seized rotors without resorting to a sledge.

I was always told that vthe slotted are fine, its the cross drilled you have to be careful with. I have the powerslots and hawk pads all the way around & I feel much better when I have to brake suddenly now than before with the stockers

Do you still get as much brake dust as with the stock setup? I was hoping for less, but my wheels still get coated pretty quickly.

Thats the video I put in my thread titled csn it really be this easy.
That worked for me but now as easy as it was in the video. I had to do it 3 or 4 time after rotating the hub.

evrything was shipped yesterday, from indiana and nevada. i was going to go with hawk all the way around, but hawk hps doesnt have pads for the rear for my truck..weak! 65% of the breaking is in the front, so i really couldnt care less whats in the rear!

brake dust is very minimal, but i dont have black wheels that show the first spec of dust on them. The braking performance is a great improvement
