Winter Tires

Will be changing over new Mamba M3 wheels and 285/65/18 BFG's for winter
with stock wheels. Will be towing two sleds up north and I'm looking for a good snow tire for the winter that doesn't break the bank.Any suggestions on tires and size I should consider.Looked at Bridgestone DM-Z3's and General Grabber HTS??????06 Supercrew 4x4

I just bought a set of Firestone Winterforce tires for $78 apiece over at tirerack. They are studdable if you need that, but a couple of friends of mine had them without studs, and they were pretty good. Not sure of your size, but I got them in P245/70R-17 for my stock 17" rims on my XL.

Gonna leave the snows on the stock rims, and get new rims in the spring.

I realized that you're looking specifically for winter tires but I thought the BFG AT KO that you already have does pretty well in the winter? I live in western NY state and get a lot of snow and I was still planning on running the BGFs through the winter. That would be your cheapest option. Sorry for not answering your specific question about winter tires but I wanted to at lest chime in about the BFGs.
