I'd line-x the rockers black for sure. I would not paint the bumpers grey. Either line-x the bumpers black or leave them chrome. You have enough chome on your wheels and grill to make the the chrome bumpers work.

thank you guys for the input.... I never thought i would get some many votes for linex, b/c I have seen very few on the site with linex rockers or bumpers.

-Seems like the only way to keep the gray is if I painted the bumpers grey AND the grille as well.

-or i could paint the rockers black or linex them black

-or linex rockers and bumpers

-this is way more complicated then i thought it was gonna be..haha

That might be because it's not cheap. I wanted to get my rockers, bumpers and wheel wells sprayed with Black Line-X Xtra, and the local shop wanted somewhere in the neighborhood of $2,400. I passed on that.

Now that the economy has hit the crapper, maybe they'd be more willing to negotiate!

how much of that 2400 is the xtra part?

my bumpers and rockers ran me just over 600 total with the rockers at 400 for rhino lining

I went back and read through the e-mails I had, and I was wrong about the price, sort of...

I was initially quoted $2,560 of which the Xtra was $1,006

After talking with people on the forums here, and getting an out-of-state dealer to quote me a price, I got back in touch with my local shop. Apparently they thought I was wanting colored Xtra (black Xtra is the cheapest) and when pricing my truck he used a time and materials sheet from a Dodge that had the same work done, but it also had a 2 1/2 inch radius over top of the fender flares at each wheel. They didn't take that time out of my original quote.

So bottom line, the new quote for both bumpers, rockers and wheels wells with black Xtra was $1,270.

Now I'm kinda wondering why I didn't go for it

thats more reasonable. i saw the 2400 and freaked out haha. that seems about right with adding the xtra on there. too bad we dont have an line-x shops around me or i would have had to wait a good while to do mine.

even stiff if you get it done or not your truck has a good color combo.

i just like the ease of cleaning it alot
